.March 27, 2024 Workforce Development, per the milestones of the Department of Energy (DOE) grant has started here in Seward. A residential CO2 Heat Pump, SEE MORE HERE has been delivered to the Alaska Vocational Technical Center (AVTEC) to be used as 'hands on training' in their education programs. Here are some photos from the arrival and two days of training that happened with the AVTEC instructors, our Ad Hoc Committee, Seward businesses that work with heat pumps currently and some people from near by towns like Homer, Soldotna and Kenai. SANCO2 founder and CEO, John Miles, was flown to Anchorage and driven to Seward to be the instructor to the AVTEC instructors and the attendees.
